and we will be happy to answer your question. Style ArtistQ:What is a style artist? A:"Style artist" is the name we've given to hairstylists and hairdressers to celebrate the artistry in their work. Once you join Style Stars as a licensed hairstylist or cosmetologist, you will be called a style artist. Q:What do I get as a Style Stars style artist? A:You will get the opportunity to enter the Style Stars contest. You will also get your name or/and salon name on our Worldwide Directory of hair salons. You will get a VIP newsletter with lots of free training materials and special offers only available to our style artists. Q:How can I enter the contest? A:It's very simple. Just click on How to Enter, read our contest rules carefully, and sign up. Joining Hair ContestQ:I am a hairstylist but not a salon owner. Can I join? A:Yes you can. This contest is not only for salon owners. We encourage all hairstylists to participate and show their creativity. However we do not accept mobile hairstylists at this time; you must work in a salon. Q:What if I join Style Stars and then move to another salon? A:It's just like changing your home address. You continue to own your work and keep your position in our Worldwide Directory. When you change salons, all you need to do is login to your account and change your address to your new salon address and we will change your listing in our directory. Q:Can more than one stylist enter the contest from the same salon? A:This is not a problem. You can enter and compete separately while representing the same salon, whether you both work at the same address or at different locations of the same salon company. Q:Can I join the contest if the salon owner does not want me to use his salon name? A:Most salon owners are proud of their stylists and encourage them to enter contests as it gives the salon additional recognition. I suggest you discuss the matter with your salon owner and impress upon him/her how much publicity our contestants and their salons will receive. Q:I own a small salon in a very small city. Is this contest for me? A:This contest is for every hairstylist anywhere in the world. There are no limits. Q:Is this contest only for this year? A:No. This hair contest will repeat every year with different prizes, different judges, and a different hair style challenge. Global DirectoryQ:How can I get my salon details in your Worldwide Directory of hair salons? A:Once you apply and join as a style artist, your salon details will be automatically placed in the directory. You don't have to do anything. Q:Can I be listed in your Worldwide Directory without participating in the contest? A:We don't know why you would want to miss an opportunity like this. But yes, you can become a Style Stars style artist without entering the contest. Just sign up the regular way without sending us or uploading any photos. Q:Can I join now and upload the photos of my models later? A:Yes, we actually encourage this for two good reasons. First: Your chance to get the top position in our directory is much greater if you enter now. Second: When you join as a style artist, you will receive tips and tricks from some of the best hair professionals in the world to help you improve your skills for the contest. Q:Why is there an entry fee for the contest? A:This fee covers the paper work and administration of your directory insertion plus the preparation of your contest entry for the judges. The contest prizes are not paid for by your fee; they are provided by Jesse Briggs and our esteemed sponsors. Q:How long will my name stay in your Worldwide Directory? A:Your name will not be removed as long as you keep your contact information up-to-date. If we can't contact you, then you will be removed from the list and will have to pay the entry fee again to re-register. PaymentQ:I'd like to enter the Style Stars hair contest, but I don't have access to PayPal. Is there another way to pay the fee? A:Many countries allow the use of PayPal to make online payments with a credit card (see the list of countries here). If you are not in one of these countries, ontact us for information about other payment options. Q:Can I deduct the cost of this contest from my taxes? A:In most countries, hair contests are considered part of your professional training and are tax deductible. However, it's best to contact your local tax office. Hair Model & StylingQ:What type of styles are allowed? A: Please read the contest rules for detail. Q:Can I use Hair Extension? A:Yes, you can use hair extension, but wigs are not allowed. |
